Returns & Refund Policy

Please review these policies carefully before placing an order with SimplyChems. 

Shipping, Delivery & Returns/Refund Policy

This Shipping, Delivery & Returns/Refund Policy (“Policy”) governs all purchases from SimplyChems LLC (“SimplyChems,” “Company,” “we,” “us”). By placing an order, the purchaser (“Buyer”) agrees to this Policy.

1. Order Processing

Orders are typically processed within 1–3 business days (excluding weekends and holidays).

Processing time means payment verification, fraud/risk screening, order preparation, packaging, and preparation for carrier handoff. Processing time does not include USPS transit time.

Processing is considered to have begun once order picking/packing starts and/or a shipping label is generated.

SimplyChems reserves the right to delay, cancel, or refuse any order for fraud review, compliance concerns, inventory discrepancies, or risk management purposes.


2. USPS Shipping & Transit Time

Once an order enters USPS transit, carrier transit time begins. Transit times vary by location and service type and are estimates only.

USPS delays caused by weather, routing, operational issues, peak volume, or events outside of SimplyChems’ control do not qualify for cancellation or refund.

Shipping fees are non-refundable.


3. USPS Tracking Updates (Scan Delays)

USPS tracking may initially display “Label Created” or “USPS Awaiting Item.” This typically means USPS has not yet performed the first in-system scan.

Tracking generally updates once USPS performs the first scan and begins movement through their network. Tracking updates may take 24–48 business hours to appear after drop-off depending on USPS scanning operations.


4. Estimated Delivery Time

Estimated delivery time equals:

Processing Time + USPS Transit Time

Delivery dates are estimates and are not guaranteed.


5. Address Accuracy

Buyer is solely responsible for providing a complete and accurate shipping address (including unit number, suite, and correct ZIP code).

Orders affected by any of the following are not eligible for refund:

  • Incorrect or incomplete address entered by Buyer
  • Returned shipments due to address error
  • Refused deliveries
  • Failure to retrieve a package from USPS
  • Delivery to mailrooms, parcel lockers, communal mail areas, or other third-party receiving locations tied to the provided address

6. Delivery Confirmation, Fulfillment, and Risk of Loss

An order is considered fulfilled when USPS tracking reflects confirmed delivery to the shipping address provided at checkout.

Risk of loss transfers upon confirmed delivery as verified by USPS tracking.

If USPS tracking reflects “Delivered,” the order is considered fulfilled. SimplyChems is not responsible for theft after delivery, unsecured delivery locations, or misplacement by third-party mailrooms/communal receiving areas tied to the provided address.


7. High-Value Orders (Signature Confirmation)

For risk management and dispute prevention, SimplyChems may require Signature Confirmation for orders totaling $250 or more (including shipping and taxes), or for any order flagged by fraud/risk screening.

If signature delivery is required and Buyer cannot accept delivery, Buyer may be responsible for reshipment costs.


8. International Orders (If Offered)

If international shipping is offered/accepted:

  • Buyer acts as the Importer of Record.
  • Buyer is responsible for compliance with all applicable laws.
  • SimplyChems is not responsible for customs delays, inspections, seizures, refusal, or destruction.
  • No refunds or reshipments will be issued for customs-related issues.
  • All duties, taxes, and brokerage fees are the sole responsibility of the Buyer.

9. ALL SALES FINAL — NO RETURNS — NO REFUNDS

Due to the sensitive nature of laboratory research materials and the inability to verify storage, handling conditions, or chain-of-custody once shipped:

ALL SALES ARE FINAL.
WE DO NOT ACCEPT RETURNS.
WE DO NOT OFFER REFUNDS.

This includes, without limitation, no refunds for:

  • Buyer’s remorse / change of mind
  • Delays within estimated delivery windows
  • USPS scan delays (“Label Created” / “USPS Awaiting Item”)
  • Delivered packages
  • Incorrect address entry / refusal / failure to retrieve
  • Customs delays/seizures (international)
  • Research outcomes or laboratory results

10. Limited Exceptions (Replacement or Store Credit Only)

The only exceptions to the “No Refunds / No Returns” policy are verified merchant or shipping errors reported within the timeframe below.

If an item arrives damaged in transit, incorrect, or missing from the package, Buyer must notify SimplyChems within 72 hours of confirmed delivery.

Notification must include:

  • Clear photos of the product(s) received
  • Photos of internal packaging
  • Photos of the outer package (if applicable)
  • A photo of the shipping label (tracking visible)
  • A brief written description of the issue (damaged / incorrect / missing)

Resolution: Upon verification, SimplyChems will, at its sole discretion, provide either:

  • a replacement shipment, or
  • store credit

No monetary refunds are issued under this Policy (except where required by applicable law).


11. Returned-to-Sender Packages

If a shipment is returned to SimplyChems due to incorrect address, refusal, failed delivery attempts, or failure to retrieve from USPS, the order is not eligible for refund.

At SimplyChems’ discretion, we may offer one of the following:

  • Reshipment at Buyer’s expense (shipping must be repurchased), or
  • Store credit minus shipping and any non-recoverable processing costs

12. Order Cancellations

Cancellation Window: Buyer may request cancellation within 60 minutes of placing an order.

After the cancellation window, the order may enter processing (including label generation and packaging) and cannot be canceled once processing has begun or once the shipment has been transferred for USPS handling.

If cancellation is approved prior to processing, SimplyChems may deduct non-recoverable payment processing fees where permitted.


13. Chargebacks & Payment Disputes

SimplyChems maintains transaction and fulfillment records including:

  • IP address and timestamps
  • Timestamped acceptance of Terms and Policies
  • Billing and risk verification indicators
  • USPS tracking confirmation (including delivery status when available)

Buyer agrees to contact SimplyChems support first for any shipping or billing issue and provide a reasonable opportunity to resolve the issue before initiating a payment dispute.

SimplyChems may submit relevant order records, communications, and fulfillment/tracking information to payment processors and issuing banks to respond to disputes.


14. Agreement

By completing checkout, Buyer acknowledges and agrees that:

  • They have read and accepted this Policy.
  • Processing time and USPS transit time are separate.
  • USPS tracking may not update immediately after label creation or drop-off.
  • Delivery dates are estimates and not guaranteed.
  • Confirmed delivery constitutes fulfillment.
  • All sales are final except for the limited exception process stated above.
